DURAN® Petri dish, with half division, Ø 100 mm Cultivation of microorganisms can take place on a gel-like nutrient medium placed in a shallow, round, transparent dish with a lid (the so-called Petri dish). Due to the solid gel, mixing of the microorganisms is prevented and larger cell culture accumulations (colonies) can grow. DURAN® Petri dishes are manufactured from borosilicate glass 3.3 using a special production process. They enable uniform nutrient medium distribution and ensure distortion-free viewing. The lids of the DURAN® Petri dishes rest directly on the lower part and thus prevent turbulence in the overlying air space. This is well suited for reactions with long incubation times, at high temperatures or with sensitive culture media. Special properties and advantages: Easier fractional dilution streaking due to the division (into 2, 3 or 4 parts) Available with half, one-third and one-quarter division and without division Pressed Application: Cultivation on different nutrient media simultaneously under the same conditions, propagation and cultivation of microorganisms, cultivation on solid gel nutrient media, microscopy of microorganisms, cell culture
