DURAN® culture tubes, with screw cap, GL 18, Ø 18 x 180 mm The in-vitro cultivation of animal and plant cells in a nutrient medium is an essential part of current research in the field of microbiology. These cultivation processes can take place at different scales – accordingly, the culture vessels are selected. For test runs, smaller vessels such as culture tubes are therefore generally used. The original DURAN® culture tubes are characterised by minimal thermal expansion due to their uniform wall thickness distribution, as well as by the resulting high resistance to thermal shock. They are therefore also particularly suitable for work at very high temperatures and rapid temperature changes.
