DURAN® Engler flask, with beaded rim, ASTM & DIN, 125 ml. Bulbous vessels are called flasks in the laboratory and, alongside beakers, are other universally usable vessels. They are used, for example, in distillations or when heating liquids. In addition to the commonly used multi-neck flasks, Engler flasks can also be used for distillations. This design of a distillation flask has a fixed side arm attached to the flask neck. The vapour is directed through this side arm into a condenser, where it finally condenses into the distillate. Thermometers can be inserted through the flask neck. An integrated ground joint ensures a tight seal of the apparatus. Special properties and advantages: The beaded rim enables precise pouring. Fired-in and therefore permanently durable white printed image. Application: Distillations in the field of petrochemistry, heating.
