DUROPLAN® Petri dish, Ø 120 x 22 mm Cultivation of microorganisms can take place on a gel-like nutrient medium, which is placed in a shallow, round, transparent dish with a lid (the so-called Petri dish). Due to the solid gel, mixing of the microorganisms is prevented and larger accumulations of cell cultures (colonies) can grow. DURAN® Petri dishes are manufactured from borosilicate glass 3.3 using a special production process. They enable uniform nutrient medium distribution and ensure distortion-free viewing. The lids of the DURAN® Petri dishes rest directly on the lower part and thus prevent turbulence in the overlying air space. This is well suited for reactions with long incubation times, at high temperatures or with sensitive culture media. Special properties and advantages: Uniform nutrient medium distribution and distortion-free viewing through a special production process Base and lid are microscopically flat on the outside and inside Bubble- and streak-free Application: Cultivation and growth of microorganisms, cultivation on solid gel nutrient media, microscopy of microorganisms, cell culture
