DURAN® culture flask, Erlenmeyer shape, 1000 ml. Microbiology is an important field of biology and medicine and deals with microorganisms (bacteria, fungi, protozoa or viruses) and their habitats and living conditions. For this purpose, it is essential to prepare pure culture media in/on which the corresponding microorganisms can grow. Irradiating the media with IR or UV light can accelerate the growth of the cultures. Culture bottles have large bottom surfaces, which should be as level as possible so that the layer thickness of the medium is evenly high. The straight necks of the bottles allow Kapsenberg and metal caps to be attached.
