DURAN® filter plate, with glass rim, Ø 50 mm, porosity 2 The DURAN® filtration apparatus is made of high-quality borosilicate glass. In addition to the glass, the medium comes into contact only with PTFE. Therefore, the filtration apparatus can be used for the chemicals to be filtered on an almost universal basis. The PTFE plate holder allows not only the slotted sieve plate but also glass filters with different porosities to be used. The available porosities of glass filters (10 ?m – 160 ?m) enable coarse and fine filtrations as well as analytical filtrations. The DURAN® filtration apparatus is suitable for the filtration and purification of aqueous and organic solutions, for particle contamination analysis or for the preparation of HPLC media. Special properties and advantages: Almost universal applicability, as the medium comes into contact only with glass and PTFE The graduated receiving vessel facilitates dosing and evaluation The PTFE plate holder allows not only the slotted sieve plate but also porous glass plates with different porosities to be used. Easy and quick cleaning from both sides thanks to interchangeable filter plates and PTFE adapters. The proven DURAN® suction flask and PTFE olive (suitable for hoses with ID 8 mm) enable safe working in the laboratory The interchangeable plates and the PTFE adapter in conjunction with the clamp allow the porosities to be changed quickly or the filter used to be replaced quickly Easy-to-read scale with graduations for measuring the contents Permanently durable white printed marking, fired in and therefore resistant Application: Coarse and fine filtrations, filtration under reduced pressure, preparation of HPLC media, residue analysis, analytical filtration, purification of aqueous and organic solutions, particle contamination analysis, investigation of bacterial contamination, Uniform heating is recommended to avoid thermal stresses and resulting breakage. Heat glass filter apparatus with plate diameters of more than 20 mm only in ovens or sterilizers that have not been preheated. The heating or cooling rate must not exceed 8 °C/min. When filtering hot substances, observe the temperature-change resistance and, if necessary, preheat the filtration apparatus in a drying cabinet. Heat wet filtration apparatus slowly to + 80 °C and allow it to dry for one hour before increasing the temperature further. All components are also available as spare parts.
