Made of soda-lime glass, edges ground at 90°, with a white writing area. Paraffin-embedded tissue sections, fresh frozen sections and cytological specimens (especially for skin and bone tissue) are bound to the slide by electrostatic attraction. The application of adhesives or protein coatings is no longer required. Undesired background staining does not occur. Suitable for cell adhesion in cytocentrifugal preparations using standard Papanicolaou smears, immunoperoxidase hybridizations and in-situ DNA hybridizations.
