AOD 1, decomposition system The AOD 1 decomposition system is used for the pressure combustion decomposition of liquid and solid organic and partly inorganic samples in a closed system. The system consists of: AOD 1.1 FZ decomposition vessel, C 48 oxygen station, AOD 1.2 remote ignition device, AOD 1.11 control standard (50 ml) To operate the decomposition system, a protective device is required. If you already have a protective device behind which the decomposition vessel can be safely ignited, please select the remote ignition button AOD 1.13 from the accessories. If you do not have a protective device, you can also use our protective device AOD 1.3, for example.
- Quantitative decomposition of all halogens, sulfur and volatile metals such as As and Hg
- Absorption of the combustion products in an aqueous medium
- Catalytic support of the oxidation process through the self-regenerating catalytic inner wall of the decomposition vessel
- Pressure vessel made of high-alloy stainless steel
- Decomposition temperature up to 1.200 °C
- Maximum pressure during decomposition 195 bar
- Decomposition time < 3 min
- Decomposition vessel convertible to the disposable crucible C 14
- Control standards for Cl, S ( AOD 1.11)
- Introduction of the combustion gases into an absorption solution via the venting station C 7030
The operating principle is based on the ''bomb decomposition method'' according to DIN 51577-1. Other relevant standards:
- DIN / EN 14582, Characterization of waste, halogen and sulfur content
- DIN 51727, Testing of solid fuels, determination of chlorine content
