The SONOMIC ultrasonic bath was developed for the simultaneous processing of up to 12 flushable MIC instruments and is available as the MC 1001 benchtop unit. The particular advantage of the SONOMIC is that each instrument is cleaned and tested separately via its own adapter using repeated suction flushing. When a suitable disinfectant (e.g. STAMMOPUR DR 8) is added, chemical disinfection can also be carried out during cleaning. The 12 identical adapters allow flushable MIC instruments with diameters from 3 to 10 mm to be connected without requiring a seal change for size adjustment. The innovative twisting principle of the adapter seals guarantees complete sealing at the outer shaft of the instruments. Repeated suction flushing with ultrasonic support at the distal end of the instrument removes contamination from the lumen against the direction of penetration, while fresh disinfectant and/or cleaning solution flows in. Contamination cannot settle at constrictions, e.g. in the area of the handle. Detached contamination from the instruments is retained in an easily accessible filter. A check integrated into the program sequence monitors the patency of each individual instrument. Instruments that are not patent are reliably identified. For rapid drainage of used bath liquid and complete emptying of the bath, the SONOMIC has an inclined tank bottom and a welded-in drain. The unit is operated via a touchscreen, which displays both the current process progress and the test result after cleaning is completed. The user receives step-by-step operating instructions guiding them through the individual work steps in the operating program. Advantages of SONOMIC – Time savings through simple connection of instruments with diameters from 3 mm to 10 mm to the identical adapters. – High user and patient protection through automatic testing of flushability for each connected instrument. Instruments that cannot be flushed are reliably identified and displayed individually. – Repairs or replacement of instruments due to stiffness or blockages are prevented by regularly removing penetrated contamination. – Versatile use: In addition to cleaning and chemical disinfection of flushable MIC instruments, flushable parts of other instruments (3 mm to 10 mm) or other medical instruments, such as scissors and forceps (placed loose in the basket), can also be cleaned. – Easy and safe operation through process-oriented user guidance with clear operating instructions, status messages and assistance. – Cost reduction by reducing the time required and decreasing repair or replacement purchases. For high ultrasonic effectiveness, only tested disinfectants and cleaning preparations developed for this purpose may be used. BANDELIN recommends STAMMOPUR DR 8 (VAH-certified) for simultaneous instrument disinfection and intensive cleaning, and STAMMOPUR R for intensive cleaning only. Internal dimensions L x W x D: 650 x 400 x 160/170 mm Drain: ball valve G ¾ (internal), threaded connector G ¾ (external) at rear right
