- Glass filter devices with plate diameters of more than 20 mm should only be heated in ovens or sterilizers that have not been preheated.
- The heating or cooling rate must not exceed 8 °C/min. When filtering hot substances, observe the temperature change resistance and, if necessary, preheat the filter devices in a drying oven.
- Heat wet filter devices slowly to + 80 °C and dry them for one hour before increasing the temperature further.
