The Scratcher is a sampling lance specially developed for sampling cohesive, caking and non-flowing substances. A scraping edge on the collection chamber conveys the sample material directly into a closable inner tube, enabling proper sampling of caking powders and granules. The Scratcher is ideal for target-point sampling from a specific layer. Despite its effective scraping edge, it is suitable for use in narrow openings from 32 mm in diameter. Two additional handles enable secure insertion, fixation and rotation in the material, while the device’s simple disassembly facilitates thorough cleaning. Sampling lance with scraping edge for non-free-flowing materials Target-point sample with a small sample volume Enables sampling of caking and non-flowing substances Suitable for narrow openings despite the scraping edge Easy to disassemble for thorough cleaning The Scratcher powder sampler is widely used in laboratories and industrial sectors where precise sampling of non-free-flowing, clumping substances is required. These include the food, pharmaceutical, chemical and materials science sectors, where precise and contamination-free samples are of crucial importance. Different sizes enable sampling from Big Bags, drums, small containers and other storage containers. Turn the upper handle of the sampling lance clockwise. The sampler is closed and can be inserted into the medium to be sampled. At the desired depth, turn the upper handle on the sampling lance counterclockwise; the collection chamber is now open. Rotate the sampler by 360°. The sample is conveyed into the sample chamber by the scraping edge. Turn the upper handle of the sampling lance clockwise. The collector is closed and can be removed from the powder/granulate. If necessary, close the insertion point on the container. Turn the sampler over and empty the sample through the open inner tube into a suitable collection vessel.
