This working method includes centrifugation, among other techniques, which makes use of the principle of inertia. A mixture to be separated is filled into centrifuge tubes, placed in a centrifuge and set in rotation. Due to the high rotational speed, heavier particles are pushed outward more quickly and farther than lighter ones. This achieves separation of the mixture based on the mass or density of its individual components.
