DURAN® Original GL 45 laboratory bottle, brown, without screw cap and pouring ring, 10000 ml DURAN® Original GL laboratory bottles have been the gold standard for multifunctional laboratory bottles since their introduction in 1972. The bottles are formed from high-purity, clear USP/EP Type I borosilicate glass 3.3, known for its excellent thermal behaviour and high resistance to chemical influences. A combination of high-performance materials and a robust ISO 4796-1 design ensures a long service life. The use of a fused, external brown colouring protects light-sensitive materials from the effects of photodegradation. Protection against ultraviolet light corresponds to international USP/EP standards and is maintained throughout the bottle's service life. The brown-coloured bottles have an easy-to-read graduated volume scale and a permanently white enamel marking field. The permanently printed batch identification ("Retrace Code") on each bottle guarantees complete traceability of manufacture. DURAN® Original brown laboratory bottles are supplied with or without the familiar blue polypropylene closure and drip-free pouring ring for use up to 140 °C. All components are fully autoclavable at 121 or 134 °C. Special features and benefits: Standardised GL thread and matched closure systems for a particularly tight seal and easy, clean pouring UV protection up to approx. 500 nm wavelength through external colour application The purely external brown colouring ensures unchanged DURAN® properties inside the bottle Long service life and good chemical resistance of the brown colouring Easy-to-read scale with graduation marks for measuring the contents Baked-in and therefore permanently durable white print The 10 and 25 ml sizes have a specially shaped glass rim for improved pouring, eliminating the need for an additional plastic pouring ring Application: Preparation of light-sensitive materials, storage of light-sensitive materials, transport and shipping of light-sensitive materials, autoclaving of media and reagents, culture vessel
