I-MAG, magnetic stirrer without heating I-MAG is a powerful yet compact magnetic stirrer for applications in laboratory and production environments. In combination with the I-MAG SP support frame available as an accessory for large drums, up to 300 liters of water can be mixed efficiently. The wired control unit (controller) ensures convenient operation and easy integration into, for example, process engineering systems. The robust drive unit (IP protection class 64) consists of a high-torque, wear-free motor and the magnetic coupling with high-performance neodymium magnets. This enables effective mixing of viscous media and mixing in containers with a greater distance between the support surface and the stir bar (e.g. double-walled containers or containers with an insulated bottom). To reliably achieve high speeds even under difficult conditions, I-MAG features an adjustable start-up speed that prevents the magnetic stir bar from breaking away during acceleration. Process safety is additionally ensured by the integrated detection of magnetic stir bar coupling. If the coupling breaks or the magnetic connection is not established, the user is informed via the control unit. The I-MAG controller features a wide range of digital and analog interfaces. Equipped in this way, the device can, for example, be controlled with a foot switch or control knob, or integrated into a network via USB/LAN/WLAN. With suitable software (for example labworldsoft® 6), I-MAG can thus be integrated into an automated plant process.
