OTAL® hand and foot pumps are compact universal pumps for transferring liquids from containers and drums. Established and appreciated on the market for over 70 years, the pumps are known above all for their ease of use in daily operation. The drum and container pumps operate according to the air overpressure principle. Only the delivery tubes come into contact with the liquid, ensuring broad chemical resistance. Depending on the version, the tubes are made of PE, PP, PVDF or stainless steel. This allows a wide variety of liquids to be transferred quickly and easily. To ensure proper operation, the pumps must be mounted with a tight seal on an airtight container. Repeatedly actuating the pump bulb creates overpressure in the container, which transfers the liquid out of the container through the delivery tube. The liquid flow is pulse-free and even and can be stopped immediately via the vent valve without continued flow. OTAL® hand and foot pumps are extremely robust, durable and of excellent quality. They make it easy and cost-effectively to transfer acids, alkalis and aqueous solutions from larger containers into smaller ones. The universal stopper allows use with all standard containers; determining a thread and a threaded connection are not required. The telescopic dip tube is height-adjustable and can be shortened if required. This ensures optimum residual emptying, allowing transfer from both 220-litre drums and smaller canisters. If required, adjust the universal stopper to the container opening diameter. Fully extend the telescopic riser tube. Insert the riser tube and universal stopper into the container and press in to form a seal. Close the stop valve. Position the outlet bend above the receiving container. Actuate the pump bulb and build up overpressure. Liquid now flows. To end the transfer process, open the stop valve and release the overpressure. After transferring, turn the outlet bend with the opening facing upwards to prevent liquid from continuing to flow.
