The aluminium SiloBohrer is very robust and offers the highest processing quality at an attractive price. This makes the SiloBohrer an economical solution for projects with a limited budget or for use in less aggressive environments. The aluminium SiloBohrer is lighter than the stainless steel SiloBohrer, making handling and transport easier. The SiloBohrer is a sampler specially developed for taking bulk material samples from silos or tanks. In bulk materials transported over long distances, vibrations and movements during transport can cause the material layers to segregate, making representative sampling more difficult. The SiloBohrer takes an all-layer sample through several layers of the bulk material, allowing the quality, composition or other relevant properties of the entire stored material to be analysed. The SiloBohrer fits through openings with a diameter of 90 mm or more and is therefore versatile. A special mechanism enables the sampling chamber to be opened and closed easily by turning the robust T-handle. The spring-loaded inner tube minimises the risk of coarse grains becoming jammed. The drilling scoops and a scraping edge also enable sampling of caking and non-flowing bulk materials. To take samples for further analyses required to comply with statutory regulations or industry standards, e.g. in agriculture for sampling grain, seeds, fertilisers or feed, in the food industry for sampling powdered and granular foodstuffs from storage silos, in the chemical industry for sampling powdered and granular chemicals from industrial silos. Attach the handle to the rod. Place the collection chamber on the rod and secure it with the safety clip. Using the handle, drill the sampler clockwise into the material to be sampled to the desired depth (sampling chamber is closed). At the desired depth, turn the sampler counterclockwise (sampling chamber opens). After approximately five turns, the sampling chamber is filled. Turn the sampler approximately two turns clockwise (sampling chamber closes). Pull the sampler out of the material to be sampled by the handle. Remove the safety clip and take off the collection chamber. Empty the sample into a suitable collection container.
