B2B customers only

Our offer is intended exclusively for businesses, legal entities, public institutions and other professional customers.

Consumers within the meaning of Section 13 of the German Civil Code (BGB) cannot enter into contracts through this shop.

No statutory consumer cancellation right

The statutory cancellation right available to consumers for distance contracts does not apply to orders placed through our exclusively B2B shop.

There is therefore no general 14-day cancellation or automatic return right.

This does not affect your statutory or contractual rights where goods are defective, incorrectly delivered or otherwise not supplied in accordance with the contract.

Voluntary return of non-defective goods

Non-defective goods may be returned only with the prior written approval of Hornik GmbH. Acceptance of a return is voluntary and does not create an entitlement to future returns.

Please do not return goods without prior return authorisation.

A return request should include:

  • the order or invoice number
  • the product reference
  • the product name and quantity
  • the reason for the requested return
  • the delivery date
  • information about the condition of the goods and packaging
  • appropriate photographs where necessary.

Once your request has been reviewed, you will receive return authorisation and the relevant shipping instructions.

Conditions for voluntary returns

A voluntary return will generally be considered only where the goods:

  • are unused and undamaged
  • are complete and fully functional
  • remain, wherever possible, in their undamaged original packaging
  • include all accessories, instructions and documentation
  • have been stored and transported correctly
  • are received within the return period communicated individually to the customer.

The possibility of accepting a return will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Products excluded from voluntary returns

Voluntary returns are generally excluded in particular for:

  • products manufactured, configured or procured specifically for the customer
  • custom products and project-related orders
  • products that have already been used, installed or commissioned
  • opened sterile products or sealed hygiene products
  • chemicals, hazardous substances and dangerous goods
  • temperature-sensitive products or products requiring special storage
  • products with a limited shelf life
  • damaged, contaminated or incomplete products
  • goods from which the original packaging or safety seal has been removed
  • products that cannot be placed back on the market for occupational-safety or health-protection reasons.

These exclusions do not apply where goods were defective or incorrectly delivered and the customer therefore has statutory or contractual rights.

Costs and transport risk

For a voluntary return of non-defective goods, the customer will generally bear the return shipping costs and transport risk until the goods have been received by Hornik GmbH.

In the event of a confirmed incorrect delivery or justified complaint, we will inform you before the goods are returned how return transport will be arranged and who will bear the associated costs.

Returns sent carriage forward or without prior authorisation may be rejected.

Inspection and credit note

Returned goods will be inspected for completeness, condition and reusability.

Any agreed credit note will be issued only after the inspection has been completed. The type and amount of the credit will be communicated as part of the return authorisation or after the goods have been inspected.

Where goods have suffered a loss in value, accessories are missing, packaging is damaged or refurbishment is required, the credit may be reduced accordingly where this has been agreed in advance or is legally permissible.

Defects, damage and incorrect deliveries

Please inspect delivered goods immediately upon receipt.

Visible defects, transport damage, shortages or incorrect deliveries must be reported without undue delay. Where the purchase constitutes a commercial transaction for both parties, the statutory inspection and notification obligations apply in addition, particularly Section 377 of the German Commercial Code (HGB).

Please provide:

  • the order or invoice number
  • the product reference and, where applicable, serial or batch number
  • a precise description of the problem
  • photographs of the goods and packaging
  • the carrier’s corresponding damage note in the event of transport damage.

Please do not return defective or damaged goods until you have received our return instructions.
